CHICAGO – Many stores claim they have the best products or will meet your needs, but when Elegant Beauty Salon boasts being a “One stop shop for all beauty needs,” it adheres to its tagline.
In 2009, salon owner Kym Brown purchased the entire building that Elegant Beauty Salon resides in. Brown renovated in 2011 and opened the salon that now offers customers a variety of services from manicures and pedicures, to massages and hair stylists.
Celebrating its one-year anniversary in September, Brown feels the salon has grown into a shop where people can find all their beauty needs and feel relaxed.
“The salon is very laid back and relaxing,” Brown said. “Always feel like you can come in after a long day of work and relax. We don’t allow any loitering or hanging around inside the salon or outside. There are buzzers on the door and we try and keep it safe for everybody.”
Brown said Elegant is the only salon in the area that offers pedicure chairs with foot tubs — in addition to the facials, massages, waxing and hair treatments they do.
Elegant has seven hair stylists on staff for patrons to choose from. In addition they also have an esthetician that specifically handles the facial and skin treatments and a massage therapist that offers full body massages, hot stone treatments and express upper-body massages. Brown is always looking to make her salon grow so patrons have more options for stylists, estheticians and nail techs. Have a bachelorette or birthday? In addition to offering stylist services, Elegant opens their doors for spa parties for men and women.
“We have hosted bachelorette parties, birthday parties, model casting events, and pamper parties for groups up to 30 or more people,” Brown said.
“Bring you and a couple of friends and we will pamper them with hairs, nails, facials and massages.”
