JOLIET — Officials from the City of Joliet will mark the Grand Opening of Tony’s Finer Foods located at 2300 Route 59 with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9. The new, full-service grocery store located in the former Strack & Van Til location is the ninth store for the Itasca-based firm which has been in the grocery business since 1979.
Competitively priced in the market place, Tony’s Finer Foods offers a unique blend of ethnic specialty foods, a large selection of organic and gluten-free products, as well as regular grocery items including fresh-cut, high-quality meats, fish, frozen food and dairy.
“We are extremely happy to be a part of the Joliet community,” stated Jim Marnos, Director of Human Resources for Tony’s Finer Foods. “We are looking forward to becoming a part of the community and will strive to continue our long history of outstanding quality, variety, and customer service.”
Tony’s Finer Foods has created approximately 200 jobs at this location.
